The stars at night are big in bright deep in the heart of Texas Hill Country!
Join us at Blanco State Park for a star party with the Hill Country Astronomers! Visitors will have the chance to look through several different telescopes aimed at both near and deep space objects. We’ll also have a beautiful moon to observe, and you'll even be able to see the rings of Saturn!
The fun doesn't end with the telescopes! We’ll also have a variety of activities and crafts to help you explore our night sky and learn about the nocturnal critters that call the Texas Hill Country home.
Meet at: Day Use Swim Area (There will be signs to guide you.)
What to bring: Warm clothing, water, a red flashlight or headlamp, equipment if you have it, and a chair if you'd like to stargaze.
Cost: Free with park admission

- Children 12 and under: Free
Please note: The park closes at 10:00 p.m. for day use.
