Fossil Fun

Texas Master Naturalists will share fun facts about fossils and where to find them in our area.

This area of Texas was under water during the day of the dinosaurs. However North Texas is rich with fossil records. Meet with volunteers Matt and Shelly from Texas Master Naturalists. They will share their expertise in identifying the fossilized remains of various creatures. Learn where to hunt for fossils in North Texas, where it is allowed to keep fossils, and where it is prohibited.

This activity is open to all ages.
