Come learn the basics of birding outdoors!

Over 300 species of birds visit Brazos Bend State Park every year! If you want to truly appreciate these beautiful animals as they travel in and out of the park all year long, then you should come and learn the basics of birding from one of our experienced birders! Birding is a low-impact, exploratory, and interesting hobby that will see you getting outside, improving your health, appreciating animals you once took for granted, and feeding your curiosity for the natural wonders around you.

Meet at the restrooms at 40 Acre Lake for an introduction to this exciting pass-time!

Want to put your new skills to work right away? Then join us for a 1.2 mile birding hike around 40 Acre Lake immediately following this program!
