Join us for a gentle hike while counting alligators!
Around 300 adult alligators call Brazos Bend State Park home! Let's see how many we can spot as we hike the 1.2 miles around 40 Acre Lake while learning about our Park's most famous residents.
Meet at the restrooms at 40 Acre Lake for a gentle guided hike around one of our most active lakes and get a glimpse of the interesting lives of the animals that live at Brazos Bend State Park.
What to bring:
- Entry fee ($7 per person)
- Water bottle
- Clothes appropriate for the weather
- Close-toed shoes
- Sunscreen
- A hat
- Binoculars (optional)
- Your camera (optional)
