Who Built the Parks?

Explore the lives of the men enrolled in the Civilian Conservation Corps and how their hard work and dedication can still be seen today at Buescher State Park.

The Civilian Conservation Corps employed men from across the country and gave a jump start to creating Texas State Parks. Join us for a short hike to see the enduring legacy these men created at Buescher State Park, as well as how this program changed the lives of a generation.

Duration:  1 to 1.5 hrs

Note: This program can be canceled due to inclement weather or if no participants show up with in the first 10 minutes of the program. 

Program is free after park entrance fee is paid. $5 per adult. Children 12 and under are free.
