Junior Rangers Unite!

Is your little adventurer ready to become a Junior Ranger? We can help with that!

Do you have a naturalist or adventurer in your family?  Maybe they like to get a little dirt on their hands while investigating a bug!  Maybe they are always curious about the plants and living things around them!  Sounds like you have a potential Junior Ranger in your family!  Let's work together to see what it takes to be a Junior Ranger!  Ranger Madalyn will lead you through learning what Rangers find important to keep our parks healthy and what Junior Rangers can do to protect our parks!  At the end, if you have successfully completed all the steps, you can take the pledge to become a Junior Ranger and receive your badge!

There will be a short hike with this program.

Meet at the Playground at Buescher State Park (15 minute drive on Highway 71 or 35 minute scenic drive on Park Road 1C from Bastrop State Park).

This program is designed for 6-12 year olds.  Children younger than 6 are welcome to come but will need parental assistance.  Children at heart or above the age of 12 are always welcome to participate and become JR. Rangers!

All children must be accompanied by an adult.
All materials will be provided.

Program is free after park entrance fee has been paid.
