Basics of Fire Making

Learn the basic techniques, safety, and tools of fire making with a ranger! Hot cocoa and coffee provided!
Accessibility: Parking will be available at the Fire Pit/Day Use Area. Restrooms are located at HQ. Drinking water is available at HQ. Path to program consists pavement, gravel, and flat grass.
Program Expectations: Program will consist of the basic instructions and techniques for fire making and what tools can be used to make a fire.
When: 10 - 11 a.m.
Where: Rec Hall, Day Use, Boat Ramp, Saw Mill Pond
What to bring:
- Water
- Sunscreen/Hat/Sunglasses
- Bug Spray
Program is included in park entry fees- $4 per person ages 13 and older, 12 and under are free. No need to register, just show up! Programs are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather. Cancellations will be announced on Caddo Lake State Park Facebook page or you can call park headquarters.
