Park Cleanup (Trash and Trails)

Celebrate National Public Lands Day by helping keep Caddo Lake State Park beautiful!
Accessibility: Parking will be available at Pine Ridge Trailhead and in designated areas around the park. Restroom is available at HQ, boat ramp, and Saw Mill Pond. Drinking water is available at HQ and multiple water spigots throughout. There are multiple difficulties of trails ranging from easy - moderate. Trip hazards, snakes, poison ivy, and additional hazards are possible.
Program Expectations: We will use loppers, pruners, and hand saws to clear vegetation away from trails and use buckets, gloves, and trash pickers to remove litter from the park. The starting and ending location will be Pine Ridge Trailhead for the safety talk, materials, and returning of trash and equipment.
When: 9 - 11 a
Where: Starting location = Pine Ridge Trailhead
What to bring:
- Water
- Bug Spray
- Sun protection (sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, etc.)
- Protective clothing (Long sleeves, pants, socks, closed-toed shoes/boots)
- Gloves (optional, will be provided)
- Eye protection (optional, will be provided)
Program is included in park entry fees- $4 per person ages 13 and older, 12 and under are free. No need to register, just show up! Programs are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather. Cancellations will be announced on Caddo Lake State Park Facebook page or you can call park headquarters.
