The Joy of Birding (CLSP Birding Month)

Channel your inner "Bob Ross" chill, join a ranger on a peaceful bird adventure, and learn the benefits of birding!
Accessibility: Parking will be available at Saw Mill Pond. Restroom is available nearby. Drinking water is available at water spigot. Path to program is pavement and concrete sidewalk. During program we will stay on pavement, wooden fishing pier, and concrete sidewalks.
Program Expectations: Program will consist of learning how to use binoculars, identify common bird species, and how to "bird". Participants will go on a short hike with frequent stops to look and listen for birds. Please bring your own binoculars if available. We DO have a few extra pairs for those that do not have any. When: 8 - 9:30 a.m. & 10 - 11:30 a.m.

What to bring:
- Water
- Sunscreen/Hat/Sunglasses
- Bug Spray
- Binoculars (8x42 or greater recommended)
Program is included in park entry fees - $4 per person ages 13 and older, 12 and under are free. No need to register, just show up! Programs are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather. Cancellations will be announced on Caddo Lake State Park Facebook page or you can call park headquarters.
