Channel your inner "Bob Ross" as we search for birds high and low!
Accessibility: Parking will be available at Saw Mill Pond. Restroom is nearby. Drinking water is available at nearby water spigot. Path to program is pavement and sidewalk. Portions of the program may consist of elevated steps.
Program Expectations: Program will consist of going over birding basics, sitting/standing quietly, searching for common and possibly rare birds, and playing bird bingo. Beginner binoculars are available for use. If possible, bring a better pair of binoculars with you.
When: 1 - 2 p.m.
Where: Location may vary. Saw Mill Pond or Day Use Area
What to bring:
- Water
- Sunscreen/Hat/Sunglasses
- Bug Spray
- Binoculars (8x42 recommended)
Program is included in park entry fees- $4 per person ages 13 and older, 12 and under are free. No need to register, just show up! Programs are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather. Cancellations will be announced on Caddo Lake State Park Facebook page or you can call park headquarters.
