Carry the Weight: Ruck Together to Combat Veteran Suicide.

Join us at Caprock Canyons State Park hosts a Suicide Awareness Ruck on September 20th, 2025. This event aims to connect community partners with our veteran community, focusing on reaching under- served veteran populations.

Step off for Ruck will begin at 10 am.  This event will be led by our own Park Ambassador, Max.

This year we are honoring the memory of a TPWD staff member, Steve Kimbley, who became a victim of suicide on June 27th, 2025. Steve served our country honorably and his tragic loss has deeply affected our TPWD community. By coming together for this event, we aim to raise awareness about veteran suicide.
