Join us for this sunny campfire talk as we explore how solar eclipses affect living things around the globe!

North Texas will be in the path of totality for the Solar Eclipse on April 8th, 2024. Join us during this ranger-led program as we dive into the science of solar eclipses and investigate how this natural phenomenon will affect us here at Cedar Hill State Park. Bring a cereal box or other small box to make a solar viewer at the end of the program!

When: Sunday, April 7th, 2024 from 7:00pm-8:00pm.

Where: Scout Hill in North Day Use Area

Limited seating provided: Bring a camp chair or blanket if you have one.

Bring:  Water and a snack if you need one and dress for the weather!

Programs are subject to location changes, postponement, or cancellation due to weather. Check our Instagram or Facebook stories for the most up-to-date information on program details. 

Cost: Free with $7 per person park entry fee or presentation of a TPWD Annual Park Pass or Parkslands Passport for free and/or reduced entry. Children 12 and under are free to enter the park.
