Meteor Shower Star Party

Adults and children can view the Perseid Meteor Shower with telescopes, s'mores and more!

Come to the Recreation Complex of Choke Canyon State Park to view the yearly Perseid Meteor Shower!

This event:

• Is free with normal park entry fees ($5 for people 12 and over)
•  Is from 8pm to Midnight
• Is BYOT (Bring Your Own Telescope) with two park telescopes provided
• Includes s'mores and night-sky themed learning opportunities
• Is pet and child friendly

The Perseid Meteor Shower occurs once a year. Its peak is August 12th at Midnight this year. It is visible on the 10th as well, giving more people the opportunity to come out on a Saturday night!
