Fishing with the Ranger

Did someone say, "Let's go fishing"? Join a ranger learning the basics of fishing. All ages and stages welcome.

Where: Meet at Heron Harbor fishing wall at 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. Bring your own fishing equipment, or borrow our loaner equipment! No experience required!

Bring: Sun protection and hydration

Accessibility: Accessible parking available at the Heron Harbor Day Use Area parking lot. This program takes place on a flat surface and near a restroom. For accessibility questions, email alicia.o'connor@tpwd.texas.gov

Cost: Park programs are open to the public and free with a paid park entrance fee of $5 per person ages 13 and up; children 12 and under are always free! Park entry is free with the Texas State Park Pass. No need to register—just show up!
