Fishing with the Ranger

Need some new fishing stories? Join a ranger learning the basics of fishing. All ages and stages welcome.

Meet at the Fishing Wall of Heron Harbor Day Use Area at 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.

Park at Heron Harbor Day Use Parking Lot. Bring your own pole, or borrow one of our loaners! No experience required!

Cost: Park programs are open to the public and free with a paid park entrance fee of $5 per person ages 13 and up; children 12 and under are always free! Park entry is free with the Texas State Park Pass. No need to register—just show up!
