Davis Mountains 101

Take an introductory deep dive into the Davis Mountains on this easy walk 'n' talk.

Join our park volunteer (and master naturalist) on this 1.5 - 2 hour easy hike along the scenic Skyline Dr. Trail. As you take in the majestic views, learn about the interrelatedness of Davis Mountain history, geology, climate, flora, and fauna. Please register for this program by 4pm the day prior at the DMSP front office or call (432) 426-3337.

Meet: at the far end of Skyline Dr. by the CCC stone shelter

Bring: hiking shoes, water, hat, sunscreen

Cost: free for campers, Indian Lodge guests, or day users w/ permit - daily entrance fee is $6.00/adult, or free for the carload with Texas State Park Pass
