Hike and learn about the history of the Mescalero Apache within the Davis Mountains.

Mescalero Apache considered the Davis Mountains one of their homes before the U.S. Army established Fort Davis in 1854. They displayed amazing adaptive skills as they learned to survive in this rugged terrain. Join us on this history hike as we consider why they moved here and what forces pushed them out. This trail has some elevation gain and is rocky.
