Discovery the wide variety of animal & plant species residing in the park.
The Davis Mountains are a sky island, an elevated area of grasslands and mountains situated within the Chihuahuan Desert. Sitting at 5,000 feet, this oasis provides a great habitat for many plants and animals. Meet park hosts Steve & Sue, at the Interpretive Center for a .5-mile, easy walk along the park pavement, and discover some of them.
Meet: At the Interpretive Center
Bring: Walking shoes, water, hat, sunscreen, binoculars (if you have a pair)
Cost: Free for campers, Indian Lodge guests, or day users. Daily entrance fee is $6.00/adult, or free for the carload with Texas State Park Pass
