Sharpen your survival skills on this easy, two-hour walk 'n' talk, as you encounter survival scenarios common in the Davis Mountains.

Imagine it's 11,000 B.C., and you are part of a small hunter-gatherer tribe exploring the area for the first time. How would you survive? Join Ranger Charlie on this imaginary journey back in time, and test your survival instincts. You'll be walking and talking on a 1.5-mile hike along Skyline Drive Trail.

Meet: at the far end of Skyline Drive by the CCC stone shelter

Bring: hiking/walking shoes, water, hat, sunscreen, dog-friendly

Cost: free for campers or day users w/ permit - daily entrance fee is $6/adult, or free for the carload with Texas State Park Pass.
