Enjoy the Night Sky in an International Dark Sky Sanctuary!

Join us and the San Antonio Astronomical Association for a fun -filled evening where the stars are plentiful, and the night skies are truly spectacular!

Bring: Water, red flashlight only, folding chair, closed toes shoes and dress for the weather.

Cost: Included in permitted entrance. Entrance fees are waived with Texas State Park Pass. We encourage you to make a camping or daily entrance reservation in advance. We do not accept cash or checks, and cell service is non-existent in the State Natural Area.

Meet: Dark Sky viewing area (Park your vehicle at HQ and walk over - this will help prevent vehicle headlights from interfering with the telescopes and equipment). 

Note: this program is subject to cancelation depending on weather conditions and cloud cover. We will make an announcement on social media if this event does not take place the day before on November 1, 2024.
