Angler Camp at John Paul Landing

Come out to JPL Lake for this fun, free, family friendly event for beginning and experienced anglers.

This Angler Camp will cover basic information all fisherman should know before hitting the water. If you haven’t attended the previous classes, no worries!

This class will serve as a review for experienced anglers (who may even learn something new!), and introduce the basics for first-timers. Topics to be covered include fishing safety, tacklebox basics, rules and regulations, Fish ID, casting practice, and fishing.

This class is open to learners ages 7+. All youth must be accompanied by an adult. 

We will have a 45 minute lunch break (bring your lunch and drinks). Limited fishing equipment and bait provided during the event.

Registration is limited and required to allot limited fishing equipment for registered participants.

A fishing license will be required for all anglers ages 17+. Day permits are available (from $11+). Purchase one online, or at your local outdoor retailer.
