Family, Friends & Fishing @ Acequia Park

Learn the basics of fishing at this fun, free family event!

Learn basic fishing skills such as casting, use of tackle and bait, fishing regulations and ethics, aquatic conservation and more.

Waterside fishing will also take place with the help of TPWD Certified Angler Education Instructors.

Please come prepared to spend the morning outdoors and dress appropriately in light, loose clothing; wear a hat and sunglasses, bring sunscreen and plenty of water to stay hydrated! 

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times - No drop-offs please.

A Fishing License is required for all participants ages 17+.
