Professional development for anyone who works with children and the public
Aquatic WILD invites you to explore and share the fascinating world of aquatic wildlife and ecosystems using fun, hands-on educational activities. You will experience engaging TEKS-aligned activities while networking with other educators.
Workshop participants receive:
- 6 hours TEA-approved CPE and TEEAC Credit
- Aquatic WILD K-12 guide
- Texas-specific resources
Anyone who works with children, including teachers, homeschoolers, informal educators, and scout leaders, is welcome.
Bring a lunch and refillable water bottle. We will be doing a service project and kayaking session so you will need a change of clothes for being on the water. All participants must wear a lifejacket while on the water. We will provide kayaks, lifejacket and paddles as well as instruction on how to kayak. No experience necessary.
Space is limited - register early.
$35 preregistration is required. DEADLINE May 10, 2024
Fee is for WILD training. WILD materials are distributed only with requisite hours of training. Attendance and participation in the entire experience are required to receive any of the materials, regardless of fee payment.
