First Day Roll Out of Bed Hike

Start the New Year off comfy, cozy, and a little bit silly!

Join a park ranger for a pajama themed First Day Hike! No need to dress up, just roll out of bed and hit the trail.

Rock your favorite flannel pants, onesie, or slippers (okay, hiking shoes too) as we take a walk into 2026.

Meet: Armadillo Hill Trailhead #1

Hike Info: This will be a moderate to difficult 1.5-mile hike in and back out. Some areas on the trail are steep, have stairs, or roots. Depending on conditions, the creek area could be muddy and slippery, so use caution.

Audience: This pajama party is perfect for all ages!

Bring: Your favorite pajamas, close-toed shoes, and plenty of water. Please dress for weather.

Cost: Free with park admission. $5 per person 13 and up, free for children 12 and under. Park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass.
