Christmas Starfest at Enchanted Rock
Sat, December 13, 2025
What's better than wishing upon a star? Wishing upon 4,500 stars at once.... and also, Santa at the same time! Join Texas Parks and Wildlife staff for our biggest star party of the year, with telescopes run by experienced Rangers, holiday activities for the kids, a star tour, and an introductory astronomy lesson.
Join Texas Parks and Wildlife for a holiday tour through space. Multiple telescopes will be set up in Parking Lot 1 for viewing stars, star clusters, galaxies and more! NOTE: This is NOT a night hike. Star Parties are stationary programs.
As an International Dark Sky Park, Enchanted Rock boasts some of the darkest skies in this part of Texas, which means the stars at night ARE big and bright deep in the heart of Texas.
Meet: Park in Lot 2 (Summit Trail parking) or Lot 3 (Campground parking), and walk over the low water crossing to Parking Lot 1. Let us know if you need any special accommodations!
