Guided Summit Trail Hike
Join us as we hike to the top of Enchanted Rock!
Join a Park Ranger or volunteer on a guided tour up the Summit Trail. Along the way, we'll learn about the geology, history and biology of this special place. We'll hear tales of the history of Enchanted Rock and the people who came before us, plus some incredible panoramic views!
Guided Summit Hike details:
Meet at the Gazebo at the beginning of the Summit Trail.
Time: About 2 hours.
Distance: 1.5 miles round trip.
Elevation gain: 425 feet.
Bring:
- Sturdy walking or hiking shoes
- Plenty of water
- Sunscreen
- Dress for the weather
NO PETS for this event. Pets are not allowed on the Summit Trail, rock domes or upper trails in the park.
IMPORTANT: Reservations are required to enter Enchanted Rock on weekends, holidays and/or during school breaks. You can check day pass availability and make reservations online at TexasStateParks.ReserveAmerica.com.
Entrance fees: $8/adult; children 12 and under are free; no additional fees for this event. Entry is free with an active Texas State Parks Pass. No registration or additional fee required for this event. All are welcome!
All programs are weather dependent -- if it rains, the Summit Trail, rock domes & upper trails are closed.
