Senses Night Hike

Tune into your sense of touch, smell, and sound as we hike the Loop Trail in the dark!
We will get to experience the outdoors the way nocturnal wildlife does. We may even get to see some wildlife that spends most of the day hiding out till dark!
Meet: in the main campground at the beginning of the Loop Trail by the green gate
Time: about 1 hour
Distance: ¾ mile
Difficulty: Moderate
Bring:
- Walking shoes
- Flashlight (preferably red)
- Drinking water
- Insect repellant
- Dress for the weather
Event is free with paid entrance fees; Adults: $8, Children 12 and under: Free. Registration not required to attend. All are welcome!
Visitors must be in the park before the gates close at 8:30 PM.
Note: Office closes at 4:30PM, so all visitors will either want to purchase entrance permit online at https://texasstateparks.reserveamerica.com/ or bring cash to pay at the Self-pay Station.
