Learn How to Build a Fire

Practice building a fire safely with snack food then with wood.

Learn how to build a fire safely from beginning to end without charcoal, liquid fuel or a fire starter.  Once we have our fire built, we can make a s'mores snack.

Meet a the Gazebo. Wear clothing appropriate for the weather, and bring a drink.

This event is weather dependent so check back for updates, or go to our Facebook page. Event is free with paid park entrance or Texas State Park Pass. Entry is FREE for children 12 years and younger; 13 and older is $3 per person.
