Some of the flowers at the park can do more than look pretty in a vase. They can make people feel better too.

Join Ranger Heather on a leisurely 1/2 mile hike around Lake Sullivan to identify plants that can be used as medication.

Meet at the Gazebo and wear clothing appropriate for the weather including closed-toe shoes.  Bring water, bug spray and sunscreen.

This hike is weather dependent.  Check here and on our Facebook page for any changes.

Please call the park office to reserve your spot.  Program is free with paid park entrance or Texas State Park Pass.  Entry if FREE for children 12 years and younger; 13 and older is $3.00 per person.

Volunteer opportunities available - If you would like to volunteer to help with this event or any others listed for our park, please contact the park office.
