Join park staff and fellow nature lovers for a fun morning of hands-on volunteer work at Galveston Island State Park.

Celebrate National Public Lands Day by giving back to the places we love! 

This year, volunteers can roll up their sleeves in the greenhouse prepping coastal prairie plants for future restoration or head out for a beach cleanup to help protect our shoreline.

Whether you’ve got a green thumb or just love the beach, there’s something for everyone. Families with kids are welcome and encouraged—this is a great way to connect with nature and each other while making a difference!
