Great Backyard Bird Count

Join the citizen science movement from the Nature Center's backyard!
The Great Backyard Bird Count is a wonderful opportunity for families and friends to have fun while enjoying nature. It’s also an opportunity to connect with the great web that is the scientific community. Participating in the bird count is conducting citizen science, where families, educators, students, and park visitors like you contribute to scientific research!
Show up anytime between 10am and 2pm. We love beginners and experts alike, and there is no hiking required! Staff and volunteers will have binoculars for you to use, some bird ID resources, and all of the information you need to get started helping us research our own backyard!

- Cost: Entry fee is $5 for adults and FREE for children 12 & under. Park entry free with a State Parks Pass.
