New to kayaking? Join us for a relaxed, beginner-friendly intro as the sun sets over the bay!

⏰ When & Where:

• Evening sessions (wrap up before dark!)

• Launch from Oak Bayou Picnic Area

• Registration opens 7 days before—online only

• Advance registration is required

🧭 What You’ll Learn:
✔ Basic paddling techniques
✔ Kayak safety tips
✔ How to handle your gear on the water
✔ Guided practice in a calm, protected cove
✔ Perfect for first-timers or anyone wanting a refresher!

✨ What’s Included:
✔ Free use of kayak, paddle, and life jacket
✔ Small group instruction with a trained guide
✔ Chill 1–1.5 hour paddle in beautiful Galveston Bay

📌 Need to Know:

• Ages 13+ only

• Minors must be with an adult

• Park entry fee required

• Max 4 people per reservation

• Close-toed shoes & life jackets required

• Expect to get a little wet and salty—dress accordingly!
