When you think of Galveston, you immediately assume saltwater. There are pockets of freshwater on this island that life stems from. Join a ranger to find out exactly what lives in these freshwater pockets.
This walk has very little shade, so hats and sunglasses are highly recommended. Plan ahead - you will get wet.
- Bring: Sunscreen, bug spray, water, weather appropriate clothing, close toed shoes, and phone with a camera for iNaturalist identification
- Meet: Nature Center
- Cost: Entry fee is $5 for adults and FREE for children 12 & under. Park entry free with a State Parks Pass.
