Holiday Heritage Trail Hike

Celebrate the season at Galveston Island State Park with a self-guided stroll along the Heritage Trail!

The trail will be beautifully decorated with holiday lights, creating a festive atmosphere for visitors of all ages to enjoy at their own pace from December 19-31. As you walk, take in the natural beauty of the park illuminated by twinkling lights, blending the magic of the holidays with the coastal-prairie landscape.

Trail Details

• 🌿Mowed trail surface with a footbridge; less than 0.4 miles(may hold water after rain)

• 🚶 Self-guided program — explore at your own pace

• 🎄 Holiday lights along the Heritage Trail

• 🏠 Trail begins at the Nature Center

• 📄 Optional activity sheets available at Park Headquarters and the Nature Center

Cost: Park programs are open to the public and free with park entrance fee ($5 per persons ages 13 and up; children 12 and under are always free! Park entry free with Texas State Park Pass).
