Birding the Riparian Zone

This Fall Garner State Park completed a riparian restoration project to control riverbank erosion and provide bird and fish habitat. Come tour the area while identifying birds along the Frio River.

A ranger will demonstrate the benefits of a healthy riparian ecosystem while identifying birds along the river. Participants will walk approximately one mile. 

Bring binoculars if you have them but they are not required. 

Water and good hiking shoes are always recommended.
