Yaupon holly has grown throughout the southwest for thousands of years. And did you know that the leaves contain caffeine?

Once widely consumed, this plant has been ignored for decades. Learn more about this native plant, and join us afterward for a cup of tea made straight from the yaupon!

Where: Youth Group Area
Parking: Parking is available at the youth group area, or at the restrooms on Warbler Way.
When: 3:00-4:00pm
Bring: A chair, Sun protection, bug spray, and your own mug.

FYI:
- Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
- Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or Texas State Parks Annual Pass.
- Program may be canceled if no participants are present within 10 minutes of the start time, or in the case of inclement weather.
