Birding 101

Birding is for everyone!

Learn how to identify birds in this beginner program from our park hosts that have been birding Goose Island for 20 years!

You will identify some of the common birds at the park and discuss the equipment you can use to spot the birds. After class, you'll walk along our day use area to put your new skills to the test!

Where: CCC Recreation Hall

When: 8:30am, every Wednesday

FYI:
- Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the program.
- Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or Texas State Parks Annual Pass.
- Program may be cancelled if no participants are present within 10 minutes of the start time, or in the case of inclement weather
