Shorebird Walk

Discover the birds that call the shorelines of Goose Island State Park home!

Join us for an exploratory bird walk along the shorelines of Goose Island State Park. We'll learn about and identify the birds we see on our route, which includes saltwater marshes, bays, and shorelines with many south Texas specialties likely to be seen. No experience required, all skill levels welcome!

When: 9:00-10:30 A.M.

Where: Meet at the Day Use Area

Bring: Binoculars, drinking water, comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, and weather-appropriate clothing. The park has a limited supply of loaner binoculars.

FYI:

• Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
• Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or Texas State Parks Annual Pass.

• Program may be cancelled if no participants are present within 10 minutes of the start time, or in the case of inclement weather.
