Guided Nature Walk

Join a ranger on a walk through the park.

Join a ranger on a walk from the day use area and out onto the island. This guided walk will cover topics such as native plants and wildlife, and how the park came to be. Dogs on a leash are welcome!

Where: Meet at Day Use

Bring: Water, sunscreen, bug repellant, and walking shoes. Dress for the weather.

Length: About 1 mile over flat terrain.

Difficulty: Easy. 

FYI:

• Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
• Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or Texas State Parks Annual Pass.
• Groups larger than eight please contact Ranger Sara for a private event (sara.rock@tpwd.texas.gov)

• Program may be cancelled if no participants are present within 10 minutes of the start time, or in the case of inclement weather.
