Explore the park after dark!
Join a ranger on a short 1 mile hike of Turks Cap trail. Learn about the different adaptations nocturnal animals have, and which ones call Goose Island home!
While registration isn't required, we'd love to know how many participants to expect! Please take a few moments to sign up.
Meet: Turks Cap Trail parking lot near site #157
Bring: water, bug spray, comfortable walking shoes, and a red light flashlight is ideal so our eyes can adjust. Dress for the weather.
Length: About 1 mile
Difficulty: Easy
FYI:
- Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
- Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or Texas State Parks Annual Pass.
- Groups larger than eight please contact Ranger Sara for a private event (sara.rock@tpwd.texas.gov)
