Bayfront Birding (Registration Required)

Ducks, herons, and egrets! Oh my! Take a ride on the electric tram and bird with ease.

Birding park hosts Les and Jane are back! Join them for an exploratory bird *ride* along the shorelines of Goose Island State Park. That's right, the tram is back! We're also changing up the days, so double check your calendar! You'll learn about and identify the birds we see on the route, which includes saltwater marshes, bays, and shorelines with many south Texas specialties likely to be seen.

Registration: This program uses the electric tram, which has limited seating. Registration is required and you can sign up here.
Note on seating: In order to maximize space, visitors may be required to sit next to others not in your party. The first two rows fit 3 adults, and the back row fits 2 adults.
When: Tuesdays & Saturdays from 8:30-11:00 A.M.
Where: Meet at the Picnic Area parking lot
Bring: Binoculars, hydration, sun protection. The park offers a limited number of binoculars available for loan on a first come first serve basis.
Accessibility: This tram has an accessible ramp. Please notify Ranger Sara if you would like to reserve an accessible spot: sara.rock@tpwd.texas.gov.
Pets: No pets are permitted on the tram.

FYI:
- Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
- Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or Texas State Parks Annual Pass.
- Reserving your day pass in advance is strongly encouraged and can be done at TexasStateParks.ReserveAmerica.com. Use self-pay station when office is closed.
- Program may be cancelled if no participants are present within 10 minutes of the start time, or in the case of inclement weather.
