First Day Hike

Start your year off right with a walk outside!
Join a ranger on a walk from our Day Use area down to the fishing pier and back! Participants will receive a First Day Hike sticker while supplies last.
When: 2:00pm
Where: Meet at Day Use parking lot
Terrain: mostly flat, zero elevation gain
Length: about 2 miles (1 mile if you stop at the pier)
Bring: Comfortable walking shoes, weather appropriate clothing, bug spray, water, and sun protection.
FYI:
- Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program. Children under two years of age must be seated on the lap of a guardian.
- Pets are not allowed on the tram.
- Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or with a Texas State Parks Annual Pass.
- Large groups please contact Sara Rock (sara.rock@tpwd.texas.gov) for a private event.
- Program may be cancelled if no participants are present within 10 minutes of the start time, or in the case of inclement weather.
