First Day Hike - Discovery Hike on Turks Cap Trail

Start the new year with a guided hike along the trail with a ranger!
First Day Hikes are an annual tradition, inspiring visitors to spend the first day of the year outside. After the hike, we'll pass out the First Day Hike stickers!
When: 10:00-11:00am
Where to meet: The Turks Cap Trailhead that is near the Warbler Way restrooms and Youth Group Area.
Bring: hydration, comfortable shoes, bug spray, dress for the weather.
Length of hike: 1 mile over flat, uneven terrain. Zero elevation gain.
Accessibility: email Ranger Sara with questions on accessibility: sara.rock@tpwd.texas.gov.
Pets: Polite, leashed pets are welcome!
FYI:
- Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
- Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or Texas State Parks Annual Pass.
- Reserving your day pass in advance is strongly encouraged and can be done at TexasStateParks.ReserveAmerica.com. Use self-pay station when office is closed.
