Opt Outside Walk

Skip the crowded shops and opt to spend time outside!

Why spend the day after Thanksgiving inside surrounded by large crowds of people all rushing to get the latest deals? Enjoy the day outside! We'll walk along the Turks Cap Trail and identify the various wildlife we see. Bring your questions!

Meet: at the Turks Cap trail head near site #157. This is the trail head near the Youth Group Area/Warbler Way restrooms. Parking is available at the trail head and nearby restroom.
Bring: Water, bug spray, and binoculars (optional)
Wear: Weather appropriate clothing, sun protection, and comfortable walking shoes.

FYI: 

- Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the program.
- Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or Texas State Parks Annual Pass.
- Program may be cancelled if no participants are present within 10 minutes of the start time, or in the case of inclement weather.
