Come aboard with Ranger Augie and the San Antonio Astronomical Association as we tour the dark Hill Country night sky. Witness the Summer Triangle, the "road sign" to the Milky Way, and other Hill Country celestial sights through telescopes, binoculars and the naked eye.
Ranger Augie and the San Antonio Astronomical Association will be on-site to view and discuss the night sky of the Texas Hill Country.
When: Saturday, June 21, 2025, 9:00pm-11:00pm
Where: Hill Country SNA, Group Lodge (2 miles north of HQ)
Cost: Event is included with paid entrance fee. Adults: $6.00; children (12 yrs. and younger) no charge. Seniors $3.00 with Parklands pass. Reservations are recommended but not necessary.
If you arrive after hours and do not have an existing day pass reservation, please use the self-pay station in the parking lot of the park office to pay your entrance fee in cash or write down your Texas State Parks Pass information on the self-pay envelope. You can also make a "day use" reservation online and pay with your credit card at: texasstateparks.reserveamerica.com
Bring: Chairs, blankets, insect repellent, binoculars, telescopes, flashlights (red cellophane), planispheres, reference books.
