Dogs on the Dogwood

Bring your canine companion and have them become a B.A.R.K. Ranger.

Bring your canine companion and have them become a B.A.R.K. Ranger.

We welcome our furry visitors and want to make sure they recreate responsibly in the park. The National Park System pioneered the B.A.R.K. Ranger program. Teaching 4 main principles. Bag you poop, Always be on leash, Respect wildlife, and Know where you can go. Join our Ranger as he goes over these and then leads a hike through the park.

The hike takes place on the Dogwood Trail and is about 2 miles. Along with your pup, make sure they are on leash, bring extra bags and snacks and water for you and your pet.  You are welcome to show up early to allow your dog to adjust beforehand. Certificate and tags are available after for our new BARK Rangers. While dogs are encouraged, they are not required to join us.

This program is free with your day pass. This program is not accessible since we are on uneven terrain and exposed roots. This program is weather dependent, follow us on social media for updates.
