Spend the first day of the year with Huntsville State Park.
Start the New Year off surrounded by nature hiking or biking the trails at Huntsville State Park. We are offering many guided group hikes with other nature inspired people. However, if you would like to hike or bike at your own pace, enjoy. Check in when you are done with our volunteers at the Nature Center to let us know how far you went and get one of our First Day Hikes stickers.
The group hikes are meeting up at the Nature Center. So, if you are hiking on your own, we encourage you to park at one of the other many trail heads. Staff and volunteers can recommend those to you. Make sure to bring water and wear trail/weather appropriate gear.
