Geocaching 101

Celebrate International Geocaching Day by joining an international treasure hunt.

Geocaching is a World(Geo)wide Treasure(Cache) hunt that has challenged millions of people to get outside and find them. Armed with satellite technology, these hunters search through urban and wilderness environments and sometimes taking on mental and physical puzzles. All to log as many Caches as they can while not being seen by the general public.

At our class, you will learn the basics of geocaching. Then, you will use a handheld GPS unit to navigate a private geocaching course, preparing you to begin your lifelong adventure to find many more.

This program is open during the time. Groups will be rotated on the course as they come in. The course is about a mile along paved roads and trails. Most the course is not accessible. It is about 1 mile long. Please bring water and wear weather/trail appropriate gear. This program is free with the purchase of a day pass. This program is weather dependent. Please follow us on social media for updates.
