Guided Nature Hike
Sat, October 05, 2024
Join a park ranger or volunteer on a short but informative hike!
This guided hike down to Devil's Waterhole will cover topics such as native plants and animals, and there will be a brief discussion about the site geology at the end. This particular hike is one of the easiest and most accessible in the park and should be appropriate for all ages. Parking is limited at the trailhead but there are overflow spots further down into the camping loops if necessary.
Difficulty: easy
Length: .2 miles, but the hike itself can take 45 minutes to an hour because of the educational aspect.
Meet: At Devil's Waterhole Trailhead Parking Lot
Bring: Water, closed-toe shoes
Cost: Free with park admission, and park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass. On busy weekends, reserve your day use pass early online! Please note: You do NOT need to register or make a reservation for this event, just be sure you have a day pass purchased for everyone attending.
