Snakes Alive!

Listen to Ranger Jamie teach about some native snakes, and why we actually want them around the park.

One of the first questions you might be asking when you go into nature is.... are there snakes?!! Well, the answer is yes, there are snakes almost anywhere in Texas, but if you come to this program you'll learn about a few of the snakes you could possibly see here at Inks Lake SP. Even more than that though, you'll learn why they're important in the ecosystem and our undervalued friends!

*Most Saturdays there will be a REAL LIVE snake to see! Or multiple...... :) 

Meet at Central Park (by restroom number 4 and the playground) 

Cost: Free with park admission, and park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass. On busy weekends, reserve your day use pass early online! Please note: You do NOT need to register or make a reservation for this event, just be sure you have a day pass purchased for everyone attending.
